Surya/Sun

The Sun is representative of the king, the soul, and political power. It is the central source of energy, as in the solar system and is considered a hot planet. It is often also depicted as the Soul of the Universe and it is believed that the sunrays are connected with the human spirit. A favourably placed Sun, will bring fame and power in all aspects of life of the individual. A well placed Sun can also strengthen the relationship with fathers. However, an unfavourably placed Sun can lead to emotion and mental disorders and an arrogant, pessimistic personality. Furthermore, a too strongly placed Sun can be suggestive of an authoritative, too self-centred person who wants to be the centre of attention at all points of time and lacks humility. Such people also have difficulties working alongside or under someone. Physiologically, the Sun rules the heart, brain, head, eyes, bones, chest, lungs and stomach.
